Wudang Mountain Palace Taoism music
Wudang Mountain Palace Taoist Music, also known as “Wudang rhyme,” is a traditional music in Wudang Mountain area, Shiyan City. It can be traced back to ancient times. It is a combination of Han folk culture in Qinba area and Han court music from the Tang Dynasty to the Ming Dynasty, and reached its peak in the Ming Dynasty. It has the performance form of song, dance and music, which not only retains the musical characteristics of Quanzhen Taoism’s Shifang Rhyme, but also features the charm of multi-denomination music integrating various kinds of rhymes and instruments.
Lujiahe folk song is popular in Lujiahe Village, Guanshan Town, Danjiangkou City, Shiyan City. Almost every family here has singers, who are all over the mountains and ridges of the village. Lujiahe is located at the junction of Hubei, Henan and Shaanxi provinces. It is deeply influenced by Bachu culture, Qin Chu culture and local Taoism culture, so the folk songs have formed distinctive characteristics in the process of dissemination.
Han Diao Erhuang, also known as "Mountain Erhuang", is a local opera in Zhuxi County, Shiyan City, with a history of more than 250 years. It was included in the second batch of national intangible cultural heritage projects in 2008.
Wudang Mountain Temple Fair is a folk custom activity evolved from the unique pilgrimage activities of believers. It started in the late Eastern Han Dynasty, flourished in the Song Dynasty and flourished in the Ming and Qing Dynasties, and has always been popular in Wudang Mountain area of Shiyan City.
"Carry forward Wudang martial arts and keep fit" - Wudang martial arts, originated in Shiyan City, Hubei Province, is named after Zhang Sanfeng, who was founded in Wudang Mountain. All along, Xianshan Wudang is the pride of Shiyan people. It carries the rich Taoist culture in human history, and Wudang martial arts are also born with it. On May 20, 2006, Wudang Wushu was included in the first batch of national intangible cultural heritage list.
Wudang Divine Drama was developed from Danjiangkou City, Shiyan City. It is called Divine Drama, but it is not a complete religious activity, but a popular folk drama. As one of the national intangible cultural heritages, this kind of drama has been evolved by the Wang family of Qingtang Village, Xijiadian Town, Danjiangkou City, Shiyan City, on the basis of absorbing Wudang culture, local folk operas and folk songs. It belongs to the family inheritance drama.
Qixi Festival (Yunxi Qixi), the traditional folk custom of Yunxi County, Shiyan City, is one of the national intangible cultural heritage.
The legend of Yin Jifu, one of the national intangible cultural heritages, is a folk literature spread in Fangxian County, Shiyan. The content includes more than 30 folk stories related to Yin Jifu, such as The Legend of Yin Jifu's Family Temple and The Legend of Tianguan Tomb.
