Hubei Balichangxia National Nature Reserve is located in the south of Zhuxi County, Shiyan City, Hubei Province, at the junction of Hubei, Chongqing and Shaanxi [1]. It is located in the north slope of the eastern section of the Daba Mountains. It is adjacent to three national nature reserves, Zhushanduheyuan, Shennongjia (Dajiuhu Lake) and Yintiaoling, Wuxi County, in the east and south respectively.
