The Wulong River Tourist Area is located in Yunxi County, Shiyan City, Hubei Province, 18 kilometers away from the Yunxi exit of Fuzhou Yinchuan Expressway. The Wulong River originates from the Tianchi Mountain at the junction of Hubei and Shaanxi at the southern foot of the Qinling Mountains, with a total length of 58 kilometers and a drainage area of 358 square kilometers. The core tourist area is 10km. It is a national AAAA scenic spot and national natural forest reserve. The Wulong River is an important tributary of the famous "Qixi" Tianhe River because of the ground fissures, water cultivation of the Wulong River, and mountains forming five mountains. It is known as the "magical landscape", romantic canyon, natural oxygen bar, and the origin of Qixi Festival. It is known as "China's Small Jiuzhaigou".
The tourist area is composed of five valleys, namely, "Tianle Valley", "Feilong Valley", "Zhinv Valley", "Fengshen Valley" and "Forgetting Worry Valley". The canyon is deep, beautiful and magnificent. The vegetation is mostly primitive forest, with lush trees, grotesque rocks, gurgling streams and spectacular waterfalls. There are more than 100 scenic spots. It is a tourist, leisure and Liaoyang resort for appreciating flowers in spring, exploring water in summer, observing red leaves in autumn and singing snow in winter.
Main Scenic Spots and Introduction of Wulong River
The largest waterfall in the scenic area - Jiutian Waterfall. The waterfall is 24 meters high. The dam blocks the river and the upstream water flows out of the dam crest and flows down to form the waterfall.
This magnificent city gate is the "Tianji Gate". The "Tianji Gate" is 68 meters long, 6 meters wide, 18 meters high, and has a building area of 408 square meters. It has three arched gateways, built with mung bean stone inside and outside. On the east side of the ancient city wall, there is a castle with a building area of 980 square meters, two floors in total, and the outer wall is inlaid with mung bean stone. It is said that Wulong River is a secluded and unpredictable place where gods and dragons gather, immortals and demons fight wits, and treasure is hidden. In order to prevent the leakage of the secrets of heaven, the immortals built a mountain gate here to lock the secrets of heaven.
Tianmeng Lake is one of the largest man-made landscapes of Wulong River. The lake surface is 220000 square meters, the average water depth is 20 meters, the reservoir capacity is 400000 cubic meters, and the reservoir length is 1.5 kilometers. The water of the lake is clear, the two banks are green, the peak rises from the cliff is dangerous, the lake light is reflected, and there is no waves. When you are on the lake, you can go boating and fishing, and often travel with your partner. This is definitely a great joy in life.
High Glass Magpie Bridge
The Wulong River Glass Magpie Bridge is about 300 meters long, with a vertical height of 180 meters. It is horizontally over the Wulong River Scenic Area, becoming the most eye-catching scenic line in the scenic area. At both ends of the Wulong River Grand Canyon are rock mountains with cliffs. For thousands of years, the two mountains can only be seen from afar. The completion of the glass bridge has changed the way of the natural cutting. It is just the legend of the magpie bridge leading to heaven and earth that has become a miracle of reality. Romantic and warm, it can be called the perfect combination of modern engineering and natural scenery, artificial technology and romantic legend.
