Zhuxi County

Zhuxi County, Hubei Province is located in the Qinba Mountain area at the junction of Hubei, Chongqing and Shaanxi, connecting Pingli, Zhenping and Xunyang counties of Shaanxi Province in the west, Wuxi County of Chongqing City in the south and Zhushan County of the province in the east. The county is 779 kilometers away from the seat of the People's Government of Hubei Province (Wuhan City) and 232 kilometers away from the seat of the People's Government of Shiyan City (Shiyan City). Provincial Highway 305 passes through the territory from west to east, and water transportation can directly lead to the Han River. The geographical coordinates are 109 ° 29 ′~109 ° 08 ′ E and 31 ° 31 ′~32 ° 32 ′ N. The county is 51 kilometers wide from east to west, 104 kilometers long from north to south, and covers a total area of 3310 square kilometers. Fangxian County

Fangxian has a long history and culture. There are human activities in ancient times, and there are cultural sites of the Paleolithic and Neolithic Age in the territory. In ancient times, it was a concentrated area of the Peng clan. Before the Western Zhou Dynasty, it was the Fang State of the Peng tribe. In the Spring and Autumn Period, it was the Yong National Defense Mausoleum. In the Warring States Period, it belonged to Chu. It is located in the northwest of Hubei Province and the south of Shiyan City, connecting Baokang and Gucheng County in the east, Danjiangkou City in the northeast, Shennongjia Forest District in the south, and Zhushan County in the west. Fangxian County was called "Fangling" in ancient times, and it got its name from "thousands of miles long and wide, four blockades of mountains and forests, and its high tombs, like houses". There are cultural sites of the Paleolithic and Neolithic, which is one of the birthplaces of the Chu culture. It is the famous "hometown of agaric" and "hometown of yellow rice wine" in China. Famous scenic spots include Yeren Cave in Yeren Valley, Hot Spring Resort, Hangbang Rock, Xiansheng Temple, and the former residence of Luling King.
