Hubei Balichangxia National Nature Reserve is located in the south of Zhuxi County, Shiyan City, Hubei Province, at the junction of Hubei, Chongqing and Shaanxi [1]. It is located in the north slope of the eastern section of the Daba Mountains. It is adjacent to three national nature reserves, Zhushanduheyuan, Shennongjia (Dajiuhu Lake) and Yintiaoling, Wuxi County, in the east and south respectively. Its geographical coordinates are 31 ° 31 ′ 13 ″~31 ° 43 ′ 15 ″ north latitude, 109 ° 42 ′ 50 ″~109 ° 58 ′ 15 ″ east longitude, and 32 kilometers from north to south, It is 23 kilometers wide from east to west and covers a total area of 25604.95 hectares, including 9684 hectares of core area, 4009 hectares of buffer area and 11912 hectares of experimental area, accounting for 37.82%, 15.66% and 46.52% of the total area respectively.
