The Legend of Scholar's Valley

The three gentlemen, orchids, bamboos and chrysanthemums, avoid the world of chaos and live in seclusion in Wudang Meilang Temple. I heard that there is a valley in Taihe Village, Duhe River. Plum blossoms are like clouds, fragrant for hundreds of miles, and the landscape is quiet and strange. There is also a plum immortal who is intelligent, beautiful, and chivalrous. Qin, chess, calligraphy and painting are all excellent, especially the martial arts of seven star plum blossom sword, which is famous in the Jianghu. The Big Dipper led the way, and the fragrance of flowers led the way. The three gentlemen came here to form an alliance with Mei Jun. They make grass into a house, rock into a bed, drink mountain springs, eat the best fruit in the forest, read and talk about poetry, play the piano and chess, or dance the sword and play the sheng. Under the moon, they live a carefree life in seclusion. At the same time, they planted plum orchids, bamboos and chrysanthemums in the valleys, appreciated flowers, wrote poems, and recited customs. They left many beautiful and romantic legends in the deep valleys of the Qixia Gorge. Later generations called it the Scholar's Valley.

The old name of Scholar's Valley: Golden Bay. It is said that when Mei Xian was practising here, a villager was going to arrange a marriage for his son, but his family was poor, and he didn't even have dinner utensils. He was so depressed that he came to the entrance of Mei Xian's Cave and cried. That night, Mei Xian told him that I would lend you a gold plate and silver bowl. He would come to take it tomorrow morning and return it after use. As a result, he really borrowed it the next day. Later, many villagers came to borrow it, but one day one person borrowed it and didn't return it. Since then, the gate of Plum Blossom Fairy has been closed, and there is no more words to borrow, telling the world to be honest and upright. Later generations turn this place into Golden Bay.

North Mountain Thatched Cottage

The Beishan Thatched Cottage originated from the "Beishan Academy", a villa built by Liu Beishan, a scholar in the late Qing Dynasty. Liu Beishan is talented and respected. He often invites scholars around Taihe River to gather here, meet friends with literature, recite poems and paint. Now the scenic spot will be rebuilt and put into use at the end of the year. It is mainly engaged in tea art, lecture halls and sketching halls.

Exploring Flower Grave

Tan Wei, a soldier in the military department of Jiaqing in the Qing Dynasty, was the tomb because he explored flowers in the imperial examination in Jiaqing. According to the inscriptions, Tan Wei was ordered by the emperor to suppress the popular uprising in Taihe, Zhushan. After visiting the place, Tan Wei visited the public opinion, sympathized with the people, turned repression into pacification, and won a good reputation. Later, Shangzuo asked to stay in the palace. During his tenure, he reduced taxes on the people, reformed local practices, cared about the sufferings of the people's livelihood, and did a lot for Taihe. After his death, the local people complied with his will and buried him on the top of the mountain opposite Taihe Xiaoxian Mountain.

Sinking Fish Pond

The mountains and waters of Scholar's Valley are strange and secluded. The scenery here is towering and precipitous. There are flying springs rushing down and ups and downs. One chant and three sighs. It is said that Mei Xian washed his hands and cleaned his face here. His beauty surprised the fish sinking three feet into the pond, and the flying swallow returned to the forest, so it is called the fish sinking pond.

Chrysalis

It is said that a long time ago, Meiweng and Meiniang lived in seclusion on the Plum Blossom Mountain. The husband and wife did not care about wealth, but only about the truth. They were intimate and worked together. They planted plum orchids in the valley, raised cranes and reindeer, and lived a life of immortals. Two people have a daughter who looks like an immortal and has extraordinary talent. She practices martial arts and plays zither without a teacher. She is called Mei Xian in the Jianghu. Mei Weng and Mei Niang spent a hundred years meditating in the deep valley and embracing the stone for thousands of years under the guidance of Kwan Yin.

Shuyu Pool

The huge stone is quiet, the pond is green, and the trees are verdant. The stream flows out from the stone crevices, like gargling jade and washing pearls. It is happy in the quiet scenery. The beautiful scene of Plum Blossom Valley is like a picture in my heart.

2. Taihe Xianshan (area): Taihe Temple, Tianping Temple, God of Wealth Temple, Plum Fragrance Restaurant

Taihe Xianshan

There are mainly Tianming Temple, Taihe Temple and God of Wealth Temple. The Tianming Temple has a history of more than 500 years. During the Yongle period of the Ming Dynasty, when the Emperor Zhu Di overhauled Wudang, Taoist believers came to Taihe Village and built a Tianming Temple. After the Qing Dynasty, in order to avoid the word "Ming", it was changed to the Zhenwu Temple. Modern people changed its name back to the Tianming Temple when they repaired it. During the Jiaqing period of the Qing Dynasty, there was a mass uprising here. The Imperial Court sent a military officer, a military officer, a military officer, a military officer, Tan Wei, to suppress the uprising. After visiting the place, Tan Wei visited the public opinion, sympathized with the people, turned repression into pacification, formulated township rules and regulations, and inscribed a tablet as the basis. Later, Duke Tan asked to remain a local official. During his tenure, he reduced taxes on the people, cared about people's livelihood and did a lot for Taihe. After his death, the local people followed his will and buried him in the Tanhua Tomb on the top of the mountain opposite Taihe Xianshan. The Temple of God of Wealth is a newly built temple in modern times. People worship the God of Wealth nearby when they repair the Taihe Temple.

Plum Flavor Restaurant

The Plum Blossom Restaurant is a rural specialty restaurant in the scenic area. The original site of the Plum Blossom Restaurant was a post station on the ancient salt road. In those days, the traffic was inconvenient, and the material transportation mainly depended on the Duhe Road. Now, the area where the Plum Blossom Valley is located is an important transportation channel in Zhufang County and Zhufang County. The materials and goods are transported to Duhe Wharf via this line, and then sent to the Han River. Now, our company has carefully built it into an important dining center in the scenic area, with Plum Blossom Hall, Meiyan Hall Meiyun Hall, which can accommodate more than 200 people at the same time, is a small but not simple, exquisite and not refined farm characteristic courtyard. The Plum Blossom Restaurant is built along the mountain. All the building materials are locally sourced and made of stone slabs. It is antique; The raw materials of all dishes here are ecological and green farm organic vegetables, which are delicious and unique.

3. Chunguang outside the post house (area): Primula Park, Meilin Bieyuan, Meihua Lake

Primrose Garden: mainly red plums. Nearly 2000 red plums introduced from Wuhan Plum Garden are planted. The flowering period is about 20 days in March every year.

Meilin Bieyuan: Meilin Bieyuan is a simple quadrangle built at the beginning of the construction of the scenic spot, which has verified the history of Taihe Meihua Valley tourist area from scratch. It is planned to be transformed into a home stay.

Legend of Plum Blossom Immortal: It is said that in ancient times, there was a young man and woman who eloped to Taihe Plum Blossom Mountain to fight against marriage and lived in seclusion. The wife was 11 months pregnant and did not give birth. The couple were very anxious. Suddenly at night, Ziyuan Zhenjun asked his wife to tell him that there was a magic symbol under the stone under the plum tree in front of the grass house. After seeing it, he followed the plan and could have a smooth birth. In the morning, I said to my husband, and my husband went to see it. There was a sign on it that said, "Take off the largest and most gorgeous plum blossom on the plum tree, and drink it from the rootless water accumulated at the top of the plum blossom ridge." When the plum blossom bloomed, and my wife drank the plum blossom holy spring, she naturally gave birth to a girl, beautiful and smart, just like a fairy. What's more, there is a mole between the eyebrows, which looks like a plum blossom. Her parents named her Plum Fairy. Mei Xian is exceptionally intelligent and has no teacher. He wandered the Jianghu at the age of 16, went to Kunlun Mountain to learn from Ziyuan Zhenjun, and learned Seven Star Plum Blossom Swordsmanship. Later, he returned to Plum Blossom Valley, played the piano, read books, played chess and composed poems, studied seven star plum blossom sword techniques, and lived a secluded life in a secluded paradise. During this period, I also made friends with righteous chivalrous men who share the same spirit and common aspiration.

Wangyou Bridge: Mei Xian sent a letter to the Songyou Bamboo Guest Hongyan. After meeting Mei Xian Valley, he looked forward to it on the stone bridge between the deep valleys. In the morning and evening, the flowers are blooming and falling. Finally, I hope that the two friends of pine and bamboo will get together in the Plum Immortal Mansion, which has made a long story.

Sword Practice Platform: Plum Blossom Immortals live in seclusion in Plum Blossom Valley, forget the distance of the Jianghu, cultivate the feelings of a gentleman, gather yin and yang qi, and practice Plum Blossom Divine Sword. In the deep stream and secluded gorge of Plum Blossom Valley, there is a natural stone terrace like a terrace. Under the protection of ancient trees and vines, there is also a huge stone like a wall. This is Mei Xian's sword practice platform and sword practice stone. Entering the Sword Practicing Platform in the Valley, we can still see the figure of Mei Xian flashing and moving like wind and electricity.

The valley lies on the south: In the Meixian Valley, on the deep gorge, a huge nanmu lies between the ravines. Either because of the high wind or because of the earth falling and stone pine, nanmu fell, but it seems to pour out a spirit. It leans but does not destroy, changes the beam by the column, above the small branch trunk clumps stands erect, one faction verdant luxuriantly. The fallen nanmu creates a beautiful scenery in the valley. Tourists stop here to watch and admire it.

Three Friends Pavilion: at the mouth of the Meixian Valley, it is said that Meixian once built a small and exquisite building, which interspersed the landscape and provided a convenient place to rest. When Mei Xian is practising martial arts on the sword platform, he often stays here to meditate, or plays piano and chess with friends, drinks tea and blows sheng, and shares the time of reclusive immortals. Now it has been renovated as the Three Friends Pavilion for tourists to rest.

5. Outdoor routes: Meilang Mountain, Nanmu Cliff, Azalea Slope, Meihua Mountain, Tieshuyan

The outdoor route starts from the Plum Blossom Rock in Scholar's Valley to the top of Plum Blossom Mountain, and then goes down from the Sword Training Platform in Plum Fairy Valley. The road along the road is an intermountain path, the ramp is made of dry rubble, and the flat road is paved with gravel.

Meilang Ridge: also known as the Hero Slope, there are 108 steps up the mountain ridge. The mountain road is steep, and the roadside is full of coggygria coggygria with a diameter of more than 20cm at breast height. It is full of branches and leaves. Every autumn, the red leaves are like fire, which is very ornamental.

Phoebe Cliff: There are clumps of Phoebe here, with an average diameter of more than 20cm, mainly Phoebe canaliculata and Phoebe chensinensis, with tall and straight trunks. It is a small group of wild Phoebe.

Plum Blossom Mountain: 640 m above sea level, you can climb up to watch the whole Plum Blossom Valley area and Taihe ancient villages.

Azalea Slope: There are wild azaleas all over the country. Azalea, also known as Yingshanhong, is one of the top ten traditional famous flowers in China. It is said that azaleas are dyed by a bird spitting blood. It has high medicinal value. The saying of azalea: First, it belongs to you forever. Second, it represents the joy of love. It is said that people who like this flower are innocent. The maxim of azaleas is that when you see azaleas blooming all over the mountain, the God of Love comes. When azaleas bloom, lovers will come from afar to make wishes.

Iron Tree Rock: It is located on the Meixian Valley. The road is steep, and iron trees are clustered. The iron armour wood, also known as Quercus spinosa, is hard, dark and stands on the cliff.

6. Exploring area: Mulongtan, Yuebanchi, etc

Near the blue waves in the deep pool of the Moon Lake, there are thick forests and steep cliffs. The bright moon is shining on the lake, and the shadows are dim. Half bright and half dark, half clear and half dark. In those days, Mei Xian was slightly intoxicated by the water here. She looked like a dream and felt sorry for herself. She sighed that life was short and her flowering period was limited. Later, he set his mind to practice Taoism and finally became a true fruit. After Mei Xian left, Mei Weng and Mei Niang often came here at the half moon to look for a fairy trace and hope Mei Xian would return. Later generations called this bay of clear water the Half Moon Pool.

Chimonanthus praecox: Chimonanthus praecox is an important resource in Taihe Plum Valley Scenic Area, accounting for 20% - 30% of the whole mountain forest vegetation area. In order to facilitate tourists' viewing, there are nearly 8000 plants planted on both sides of the scenic road, which are opened successively every year from November of the solar calendar to the end of February of the next year (solar calendar).

There are mainly two kinds of plum: dogfly plum and plain plum. The dogfly plum has narrow and sharp leaves, late flowering, few flowers, small flowers, small petals, red heart with yellow edge, and light fragrance; The petals of Plum Blossom with simple heart are long and oval, rolled back, light yellow in color, white in heart and fragrant in fragrance. It is also called "Lotus Plum" because of its large flowers.

Red Plums: Red plums are ornamental flowers and trees introduced in Wuhan Plum Garden by scenic spots. There are more than 2000 trees in total. They are mainly planted in Primrose Garden. They bloom in March every year. There are 1-2 flowers in each section. They are sessile or have short stems. The flowers are light pink, red, wine red, green and white, and they bloom in early spring. Plum blossom is a small deciduous tree, with gray brown trunk, slender green glabrous twigs, ovate or round ovate leaves, fine teeth on the leaf margin, and long flower buds.

Rose tree: This species is a new landscape flower tree, which is grafted by wild rose as the rootstock. After being introduced from Nanyang Rose Group, our scenic spot has developed and cultivated independently, and now has a relatively mature cultivation technology. It is mainly planted in the Lotus Pond Moonlight Farming Experience Park. From April to 10 each year, flowers bloom continuously.

Bauhinia redbud: It likes sunshine and has certain cold resistance. The flowers of fruit trees that are resistant to flooding and pruning can be used as medicine, and their seeds are poisonous. It is a symbol of family harmony and deep affection. It is mainly planted beside the roads and tourist centers in the scenic area.

Iris: herbaceous plant, which likes shade and is cold resistant, and its flowers are like purple butterflies. Our scenic spot is mainly matched with the ecological structure of the forest, which is high and low, and can effectively inhibit the growth of weeds.

Summer: lotus, rose, hibiscus, hibiscus

Lotus: Lotus is planted in the Moonlight Farming Experience Garden of the Lotus Pond. Every time the flowers bloom, "the lotus leaves are infinitely green and the lotus flowers look red in the sun."

Hibiscus hibiscus: Hibiscus hibiscus is a beautiful plant for free growing hedgerows. The scenic spot is mainly planted on both sides of the road of Scholar's Valley. Hibiscus flowers can be used as medicine or edible.

Muhibiscus: also known as hibiscus flower and kapok, it likes warm and humid environment, not cold resistant, drought resistant, and water resistant. Both flowers and leaves can be used as medicine. It has the effect of clearing away heat and toxic substances, reducing swelling and discharging pus, cooling blood and stopping bleeding. Its flower language is slim beauty, chastity and purity. It is mainly planted along the main roads in the scenic area.

3. Autumn: rose, red leaves

Red leaves: mainly Cotinus coggygria, distributed in the mountains and forests of Plum Blossom Valley. Every autumn, it is as red as fire. Cotinus coggygria, a plant that can detoxify and relieve pain, can be used as a medicinal material from its leaves to its roots, so it has a wide range of medicinal values. The chemical components contained in its wood can clear away heat and toxin, and can also diminish inflammation, swelling and pain. Therefore, it has good effects on teeth with inflammation, skin itching, colds caused by virus infection and jaundice caused by hepatitis. As a medicine, it also has a strong ornamental value, so Cotinus coggygria is a treasure all over.

At present, the infrastructure in the scenic area is basically complete. There is a hotel (Plum Blossom Inn), 24 guest rooms in total, which can accommodate 46 people, a catering center (Plum Blossom Restaurant), which can accommodate 150 people at the same time, 6 tourist toilets, and rest points in the forest along the way.
