Nuwa, known as Emperor Wa and Empress Nvdi, is said to be Fenglixi (Fenglixi), the god of human creation in the Chinese civilization's theory of "building people from earth", the mother of the earth of creation, the first human history of the Chinese nation, and the primogenitor of blessing mountains, rivers, and countries.
Disputes over the origin of the legend of Nuwa spread all over the country. In 2021, the "legend of Nuwa" in Zhushan County, Shiyan City was included in the fifth batch of national intangible cultural heritage representative projects.
Zhushan County, which has a splendid and rich folk culture, belongs to the "Shangyong State" in ancient times. Up to now, there is still a considerable scale of Nuwa legend that has been circulating here since ancient times, Du Guangting of Shu in the Five Dynasties wrote in the Record of Abnormity that "there is Fuxi Nuwa Temple in the Shangyong World of Fangzhou, where clouds are used to knead earth for the people, and there are historical sites." It was also recorded in the Xiangyang County Annals of the Ming Dynasty that "Nuwa Mountain is in the west of the county (Zhushan Mountain). The folk cloud Nuwa's stone refining and sky mending is also here." The Bamboo Mountain County Annals of the Qianlong Period also contains the content that "there is a Nuwa Temple in the fifty miles west of the county where Nuwa's stone refining and sky mending is popular.", Such examples of the legend of Nuwa can be found everywhere in Zhushan County. The deeds of the Chinese primogenitor goddess have obviously been protected and disseminated for a long time in Zhushan County.

For thousands of years, Zhushan people have obviously contributed to the inheritance of the legend of Nuwa. Up to now, they still retain the content of Nuwa worship in their daily production and life, including but not limited to "custom inheritance", "oral inheritance", "shadow play art inheritance", "paper cutting art inheritance", etc. So far, the inheritance of these intangible cultural heritages is still in the spiritual and material levels, blessing and nourishing future generations.
