Details

Mountain wine is a specialty of Yunxi County, Shiyan City, Hubei Province.

Yunxi County is one of the original places of wild grapes. The wild grape resources in Yunxi County are very rich, pollution-free, and of good quality. The output is nearly 10000 tons, which is of great economic development value. The wild grapes here have black fruits, which are rich in anti-aging substances (other grape varieties do not contain this substance), resveratrol, a substance that softens heart and brain blood vessels, and 18 kinds of amino acids and other trace elements. They are very nutritious and are excellent raw materials for brewing wine.

As early as the early 1980s, Yunxi County began to develop and utilize wild grape resources. The high-quality mountain wine produced by Yunxi County won the title of "High quality product in Hubei Province", and was popular in the domestic fruit wine market. After the new millennium, Shanzhen Winery in Yunxi County has been renovated and expanded, and its technology has been constantly innovated. It has developed a series of products such as "wild raisin red wine" in contact with China Wine Institute. It has been recognized by the State Economic and Trade Commission as a "national key new product in 2001", awarded by Hubei Province as a "outstanding scientific and technological innovation project during the Ninth Five Year Plan", and "consumer satisfaction commodity in Hubei Province", It was awarded the title of "Famous and Excellent Wine in Hubei Province" by the China Second Temple International Agricultural Expo, and the "Gold Award of Product" by the First Forest Expo in Hubei Province in 2004.

The ears of Yunxi Mountain wine are medium in size, conical in shape, with an average ear weight of 119g. The fruit grains are uniform and round, with a diameter of 1.15-1.40cm, and an average grain weight of 1.16g. They are purple black. The surface is covered with white fruit cream. The peel is medium thick, and there are 2 to 4 seeds. The pulp tastes sour, sweet, and slightly astringent.
